David Flieschman-Rose

What skills did you gain that you found to be advantageous from being part of the group?

By working in Dr. Aiello's lab group, I learned 1) how to direct and manage a group of students in an experimental setting; 2) how to direct and manage students and fellow lab members in developing and executing my own study; and 3) the importance of clear and frequent communication with all parties involved.

What have you been doing since you graduated?
I have been working in the Marketing Department of Middlesex Savings Bank, a $3.5 billion mutual bank based in Natick, Massachusetts.

What are you doing now?

I am currently a Marketing Product Manager, with responsibilities including direct mail marketing, signs & merchandising, corporate communications and brand management.

Do you have any tips for current lab members?
Start your work in the lab early, no later than first semester junior year.   That way you have time to adequately plan and lead your own study, which I highly recommend.
